New Admin Controls and Demo Booking

This release focuses on better governance and a smoother first‑time experience. Mosques can now delegate responsibilities safely through granular admin controls, while prospective users can schedule a product walkthrough in a few clicks. We also tightened address validation to protect organizational trust and data accuracy.

Dashboard Admin

Stronger admin management

The new admin management lets mosque owners add, remove, and define roles for administrators. This improves security, reduces operational bottlenecks, and makes it easier to share day‑to‑day tasks (content updates, announcements, events) without exposing sensitive settings.

Dashboard Demo

Smoother onboarding with « Book a demo »

New users can now book a live demo directly from the dashboard onboarding flow. This shortens the learning curve, ensures faster activation, and helps teams understand best practices for engaging worshippers, from prayer time displays to event communication, right from day one.

Fixes for widgets, donations, and prayer settings

This release is all about trust and clarity, making sure your community always sees the right information and can donate without friction. It delivers sturdier widgets, accurate prayer settings for France, and a smoother Friday experience.

Widget reliability on iOS & Android

We hardened the widget system so it remains more stable and informative, even if servers experience downtime. Mosques can rely on up‑to‑date displays without manual checks, while worshippers get consistent prayer times and notices right on their home screens.

Accurate prayer settings & Friday experience

France is now set to the 15° method based on our mosques’ data, ensuring more precise local times. We also fixed Friday highlighting so Jumuah is correctly emphasized instead of Dhuhr, and resolved an Android donations form bug to restore a seamless giving experience for supporters.

iCalendar Events and Wi‑Fi Status Monitoring

Today’s update makes Masjidbox Screens smarter and easier to manage. With a brand‑new iCalendar events slide and real‑time Wi‑Fi visibility for Players, mosque teams can share accurate schedules and keep devices healthy with less effort.

Screens Ical

iCalendar Events Integration

A new events slide now supports iCalendar (ICS) feeds, allowing you to display upcoming activities directly from your existing calendar. Any updates made to your calendar will be reflected automatically on your Masjidbox screens.

Screens Wifi

Wi-Fi Status on Dashboard

The dashboard now shows the Wi-Fi connection status for each Masjidbox player. This provides administrators with a quick overview of network connectivity, making it easier to identify and address connection issues.

Reliability & Display Fixes

We corrected three issues to improve day‑to‑day operations. First, the donations slide now prevents the QR code and title from overlapping, improving readability in all layouts. Second, live and playlist schedules set with the same start and end date are now honored correctly, so single‑day programs play as configured. Third, the dashboard preserves each screen’s slide preview orientation, so thumbnails match the actual portrait or landscape display.

Dedicated Monthly & Ramadan Prayer Timetables

We’ve added two new timetable components to keep your community informed. The Monthly Timetable presents an entire month of prayer times in a clear, mobile-friendly view, making it easy for users to plan ahead. Shareable iCal and Accuracy Alerts

This update focuses on three things: more precise Fajr setting, effortless calendar sharing, and early warnings to keep your timetable accurate.

Athan Fajr Sunrise

Fajr Offset from Sunrise

Define Fajr using a precise offset from sunrise to reflect seasonal changes. This removes repetitive manual edits, keeps calculations consistent throughout the year, and helps imams and admins maintain a timetable that mirrors community practice.

Athan Ical

iCalendar Prayer Time Subscriptions

Share a public iCalendar link so worshippers can subscribe in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and more. Any update you make in Masjidbox syncs automatically to their calendars, improving punctuality and reducing repeated questions about daily times.

Athan Alert

Email Alerts for Missing or Obsolete Times

Get notified when prayer times are missing or have expired, so you can fix issues before they affect your congregation. These proactive alerts safeguard accuracy and keep your published timetable trustworthy.

Improved Gift Aid

The standout feature in this update is the enhanced Gift Aid form. It now gathers all the necessary donor information in a clear and efficient way, helping mosques meet UK Gift Aid requirements and maximize the value of donations without adding extra steps for donors. This upgrade streamlines the process, making compliance easier for administrators and more convenient for supporters.

In addition, managing campaigns is now safer with a confirmation popup before deleting or closing any donation campaign from the dashboard, reducing the risk of accidental actions. We have also fixed an issue where inserting images from the library into a campaign description would fail, ensuring a smoother and more reliable campaign creation experience. Together, these changes make the donation system more robust, compliant, and user-friendly.

Android 14 Compatibility Update

This release brings the Masjidbox Home app up to Android 14 standards, ensuring better security, performance, and compatibility across the latest devices. By aligning with the newest Android behaviors and optimizations, mosques benefit from a more reliable experience on screens and phones used by administrators and congregants alike.

For daily operations, stability matters. We resolved an issue where the video list screen could crash if there were no videos available. Now, the page loads gracefully with an empty state, so media displays and announcements remain smooth and uninterrupted for worshippers.
